The Nurse has ability to identify the health care needs of the patients and families and potential for providing quality care in the evolving health care system and for this we need to attract the best and brightest men & women. We need to make nursing preferred health career for younger generation; Nursing is rewarding one and let us make sure this message is not lost.

AIMS:-

The basic B.Sc(N) is geared to the health needs of the individual, family, community and country at large .

The aims of the B.Sc(N) programme are :

• To prepare nurses with a sound educational priogramme in nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of the health team, beginning with the competencies for first level postings in all kinds care settings.
• To help nurses develop an ability to co-operate and co –ordinate with members with members of health team in the prevention of disease promotion of health and rehabilitation of the sick
• To help nurses in their personal and professional development ,so that they are able to make maximum contribution to the society as useful and productive individuals ,citizens as well as efficient nurses .
• To serve as a base further professional education and specialization in nursing
• To prepare nurses to keep pace with latest professional and technological development and use these for providing nursing care services
